Anthony “Tony” LaRussa will be the guest speaker for the Steak and Steak Dinner 2012, the dinner and charity auction is the largest annual fundraising event for the Boys & Girls Clubs of Springfield.
Manager of the 2011 World Series champion St. Louis Cardinals Tony LaRussa will be the featured speaker at the Boys and Girls Clubs of Springfield’s annual fundraiser, the Steak and Steak Dinner on April 10.
LaRussa joins an impressive list of guest speakers who have helped the Boys and Girls Clubs raise more than $200,000 to run the agency’s three units and serve more than 12,500 kids in various programs. Last year, cyclist Lance Armstrong headlined the event. Previous speakers have included Drew Brees, Roy Williams, Bob Gibson, Bobby Knight, Tony Gonzales, Dick Vitale, Bill Russell, Mike Ditka, Dick Mermeil, Johnny Bench, Archie an Peyton manning and Jackie Joyner Kersee.
